MIL-STD-469B
controlled radars conform to this requirement if operation at any f requency across the band can be achieved with a crystal change. Radar systems under group D shall be tunable continuously over the entire 2700 to
2900 MHz band.
TABLE V. Transmitter maximum emission levels outside B 40 dB range.
1. Reference diagram:
F 0
Pt

0.5B-40 dB
B -40 dB
Pt -40 dB
F MIN
B -X dB
F MAX
2. For Category 1 and 2 radars, the maximum level of emissions outside the B xdB frequency range and within the FMIN to FMAX frequency range shall be as follows:
Groups B and C: (Pt
60) dBm/kHz or 30 dBm/kHz, whichever is less
Group D: (Pt
80) dBm/kHz
3. The B x dB range shall be obtained from the following relationships: Category 1; Groups B and C:
B = 10a (B ); where a = 1 or (P
10)/20, whichever is greater.
x dB = 60 or (Pt + 30), whichever is greater.
Category 2; Groups B and C:
B = 10a (B ); where a = 2/3 or (P
10)/30, whichever is greater.
x dB = 60 or (Pt + 30), whichever is greater.
Categories 1 and 2, Group D:
B x dB = 10 (B 40 dB), x dB = 80, special group D requirements are given in 5.3.5.
4. Emission levels at frequencies F within the regions where
0.5 B 40 dB < IF FoI < 0.5 B x dB, shall be equal to or lower than the values obtained from the following equations:
Category 1; Groups B and C: Maximum emission level = Pt
Category 2; Groups B and C: Maximum emission level = Pt
40 20 logI(F Fo) / (0.5B 40 dB)I
40 30 logI(F Fo) / (0.5B 40 dB)I
Categories 1 and 2; Groups D:
Maximum emission level = Pt
40 40 logI(F Fo) / (0.5B 40 dB)I
Special group D requirements are given in 3.3.3.
5. FMIN and FMAX are defined in table VI.
